Born and raised in New Orleans, Brian Kinler originated his piano style performing in the French Quarter. Influenced by the diverse sounds from Bourbon Street, his first instrumental album, Stories From The Quarter, celebrated the rowdy spirit of The Big Easy. His second release, Not Your Everyday Amateur, was an official 2013 Grammy contender for Best Pop Instrumental Album. Two years later, Brian teamed up with powerhouse blues vocalist Francesca Capasso, creating the electronic/house album, The Race Against Time. Once again, that record made the 2015 Grammy ballot for Best Dance/Electronic Album. Shortly after the 2017 release of Euphoric, Brian was the Discovery Feature on the Dave Koz Lounge Show on SiriusXM. At the end of 2017, Euphoric was announced a Grammy contender for Best Instrumental Album. Bragging Rights was released March 2020 and was the main feature in the Art & Culture section of Embrace Magazine. Released in 2022, Made From Scratch was an official Grammy contender for Best Jazz Instrumental Album and its single, Keep the Lights On, was also on the Grammy contender's ballot for Best Instrumental Composition. Brian is now ecstatic about his latest album, 2025’s Fire Signs. Featuring bold horn sections, lush orchestration, and a mix of jazz and electronic, Fire Signs’ key ingredient is the piano – ten tracks to fuel your soul and ignite your spirit.
